About Neil

I'm Neil. I've been building websites and doing SEO since 2011, entirely self-taught. I work remotely, almost always from somewhere rural. Marina and I don't do cities. Max doesn't either.

Great Web Design is just me. When you send an enquiry, I read it. When your site gets built, I build it. When something needs changing six months later, you email me and I sort it. No account managers, no handoffs, no junior you've never spoken to working from a brief I half-remember writing.

I work exclusively with small businesses and tradespeople. It's where a well-built website makes the biggest difference. Good tradespeople with no online presence lose work they should be winning every day. That's a straightforward problem with a straightforward fix.

I’ve been doing this since 2011. The best education has been building sites for real clients and watching what works, and what doesn't.
